CRUZ REYNOSO: SOWING THE SEEDS OF JUSTICE is an award-winning documentary film produced by Abby Ginzberg about the life and extraordinary career of Cruz Reynoso.

The first Latino to be appointed to the California Supreme Court. Reynoso felt the sting of injustice as a child of farmworkers, and later as a lawyer, judge and teacher fought for over five decades to eradicate discrimination and inequality for all. In addition to serving on California’s Supreme Court, President Bill Clinton appointed him as Vice Chair on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in 1994 and later awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2000. Today at 80, Reynoso continues to teach law and work for justice.
